What Wyandotte’s Trash Service Won’t Take
Priority Waste collects Wyandotte’s trash in containers of 32 gallons or less, with 96-gallon toters only where they are leased, and a plastic bag on its own does not count as a container. Cans go out after 6 p.m. the night before and must be at the curb by 5 a.m. The refusal list is where projects stall: construction and demolition material in any amount, stone, rock and dirt, large auto parts, liquids and hazardous material, and yard waste mixed in with the trash. Yard waste is a separate April-to-October subscription.
The fallback is the city dumping facility on 13th Street, open Tuesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., cash or check only, and only with proof of Wyandotte residency or ownership. It charges $28 a cubic yard for construction debris, $22 for concrete and $100 for each mattress or box spring, and it no longer takes dirt at all. Contractors cannot use it, and if your job needed a permit you have to show it before dumping. We handle the whole load instead: one crew, one price, nothing left at the curb.
